The IIRP is the world leader in restorative practices training, consulting and resources.

With affiliates and licensees around the world, the IIRP has provided restorative practices training to tens of thousands of professionals in criminal justice, education, social and human services, mental health and workplace settings worldwide.

A small sample of the above includes probation officers in Romania, police in Iceland, law professors in Costa Rica, childcare workers in South Africa, prosecutors in Jamaica and educators in Hong Kong. The IIRP assisted the Thai Ministry of Justice in implementing nationwide restorative conferencing that has diverted tens of thousands of young people from incarceration. Hull, England, a city of a quarter million, is using IIRP programs to educate 23,000 social workers, educators and others serving children and young people to create the world’s first restorative city.

Training opportunities are offered here in Port Hope and regionally at other locations throughout the year. View the current training schedule here. Alternatively, all trainings can be delivered at your work site. Contact us for further information.

Offerings

On-Site Training

On-site training is tailored to meet the needs and interests of individual agencies and organizations. It is a cost-effective way to train staff. We understand that a one-time in-service training seldom has a lasting impact, so we provide structured follow-up activities in support of this training. These simple exercises can be facilitated by staff and provide the critical support needed for real change to occur. Additionally, a pre-training briefing for administrators and other leaders can help prepare for the upcoming event.

The IIRP also offers consulting to staff and administrators on a variety of topics. Our experienced consultants understand the issues organizations face and are skilled at managing change and resolving conflicts.
